This is a map or our service areaWhat is a Bolted Safe (aka 'Free Standing Safe)
'Free Standing' doesn't mean that the safe is unsecured to the building. In fact it is a requisite of home insurance that the safe is 'anchored to the fabric of the building'.
We do this with special anchor bolts that we use to either bolt the safe to a solid brick wall or a solid concrete floor (in some case both).
Gun Cabinets (Gun Safes)
Gun Cabinets (also called Gun Safes) are lockable steel safes used for the secure storage of firearms. These are installed in much the same was as Free Standing Safes so these are included in safes that we install for no extra charge.
Wall Safes
Wall Safes are installed inside the actual wall. It's a messy job involving removing plaster and bricks in order to make a hole to contain the safe so that the safe door is flush with the wall, the safe is then concreted into place. You can then hang a picture over the safe to disguise it. It's rare to find walls thick enough in UK homes suitable for a Wall Safe. It's a job best suited to a builder our a super keen D.I.Y. enthusiast.
We sell Wall Safes and can deliver anywhere in the UK Mainland but we do not install them.
Underfloor Safes
Underfloor Safes are installed inside the actual floor. It's a messy job involving excavating the floor in order to make a hole to contain the safe so that the safe door is flush with the floor, the safe is then concreted into place. We sell Underfloor Safes and can deliver anywhere in the UK Mainland but we do not install them. In the USA they call them Floor Safes.
Floorboard Safes
Floorboard safes are installed into a suspended wooden floor. To install the safe a section of the floorboards are removed and the safe is lowered into the floor cavity and then bolted to two floor joists using coach screws. The sections of floorboards are then placed back on top of the safe so the floor remains flush and the safe can then be hidden with a carpet or a rug or even a piece of furniture. We sell Floorboard Safes and can deliver anywhere in the UK Mainland but we do not install them.
